Suğurverk Ltd

Suğurverk Ltd. was founded in 1967 for the purchase of a single John Deere tractor backhoe loader. Since then the Company has managed to grow in the small and unstable earthmoving market in Iceland to become one of the largest contractors in Iceland specializing in earthmoving.


The equipment fleet has grown from the 4,0 ton backhoe loader to 1500 tons of equipment, not counting the Company’s split barge. The equipment fleet is probably the most modern one found within one company in the country.


Suğurverk utilizes high tech surveying equipment (GPS and lasers) and state of the art software. All quantities calculations are carried out using three dimensional landscape models.
